Possibly: An abrasion at the laryngeal portion of the pharynx at the level of the epiglottis which creates the sensation of a foreign body in your throat along with coughing.  If further down in the esophagus proper you wouldn't cough.  See an otolaryngologist for confirmation.

Appendix: The appendix is an out-pouching usually on the small or large intestine. Yes a kernel, seed, etc can get stuck in there. Usually it does not cause appendicitis but it is possible.

popcorn kernel stuck in my gums. how do i get it out?

Accepted Answer

Very common !!: In many cases you can remove it by using a floss, knotted twice ; pulled through, but in some cases  (like when it's stuck behind teeth or you have deeper pockets ; thicker gums around your teeth) you can even cause the piece go in deeper inside. This may cause an inflammation ; tenderness due to foreign body reaction. See your dentist to check it out. It can cause a gum abscess too. Be careful!

my vision spikes like fast ripples in the dark. dots look like spiders and my popcorn ceiling looks as if it were steadily moving slowly. waking up or in the light, its gone and any distortion is very minimal and barely noticeable. whats wrong?

Maybe: It could be an allergy to corn or it could be an intolerance. Maybe it is an additive in the popcorn product you are using. Switch brands and see if it persists. If so, see an allergist.

why does my cheeks always feel puffed and my lips get plumped when i eat microwaved popcorn? is it some type of reaction that my body does or am i supposedly allergic?

Allergic reaction: Hi, this is suggestive of an allergic reaction. Please see an allergist for further testing for food allergies. Avoid corn or corn products for now.

why did my mom pass out and urniate? what is wrong and what should i do? she just fell out and urinated shes 50, she drinks a lo of coffee, uses a lot of bleach and eats only plain popcorn

If : If she just passed out and urinated, she may  have had  a seizure. Did you notice if her body was stiff or if there were any jerky movements. Is she awake now. Is she tired or confused?  Does she have a history of seizures?  Am assuming this might have just occured? It that is the case, recommend that you call 911.  If this happened a while back, her doctor needs to be notified.  With the minimal info provided, she needs to be evaluated for a possible seizure, or a head injury when she hit the ground.

how does a dr. get a popcorn kernel out of a 4 yr olds ear. first doc. couldn't get it out. now they have to get on another flight to see another dr.

Usually it takes: delicate forceps/ suction and/or endo-otoscoping, though ENT has to have the lead on this.  Surgery should be avoided at all costs if more conservative, non invasive measures can be tried first.

i had a popcorn stuck in my molar. the inflammation has gone down but still, it is somewhat swollen and sensitive. ithurts to brush/eat from there. will the gum grow back?

Yes: If you had healthy gum before the popcorn incident then your gums will recover.
