It varies: Most mild cases of scoliosis are not thought to increase the risk of back pain. Approximately 80 percent of americans have back pain bad enough they see a physician. Curves that are greater than 45 degrees will tend to steadily progress and can potentially cause worsening back pain. Thank you for your question.

Yes: Yes. Arthritis in the neck is referred to as "cervical spondylosis" and in the low back as "lumbar spondylosis".  It can cause neck or back pain and stiffness, but can become particularly problematic if the arthritis narrows a canal through which a nerve travels. That can cause radiating pain, numbness, and/or weakness into the arm(s) or leg(s).

Therapy: There is some evidence that physical therapy can limit the pain related to arthritis and maintain or improve motion.

Pain meds: There are other treatments in addition to pain meds. Have you had any X-ray guided injections or physical therapy? If yes you need pain medicine. I do not recommend trying online pain meds. I would try another area that has a pain management specialist. Good luck.

Yes: At some point in their lives, most patients will develop some degree of degenerative arthritis in their back.  This does not necessarily lead to pain or activity restriction.  So if you are not having trouble with it, I would not worry about it.

Maybe or maybe not: This will depend on what arthritis runs in the family . You will need  an evaluation to tell. see your physician
