1. Get a quantitative HCG
2. Obtain a transvaginal ultrasound.
If the results of the above tests are negative, the chance of pregnancy is ruled out.

: Perhaps the test was false positive.  When did you take pregnancy test previous to the one that you are describing.  Did bleeding start when you usually have your monthly cycle.  I don’t think that you should be alarmed.  See if bleeding continues like normal cycle.  If not, see your OB-GYN.

If you're ovulating, your tubes are open, and your uterus is normal, then your husband should be evaluated for abnormal semenanalysis.  Nearly half of all infertile couples have male-factor infertility.

It depends: It depends based on the test you use.  Most OTC urine pregnancy test manufacturer will note on the box or insert how many days after sex you can expect the test to be accurate. Different tests are different.  On average, it can be detected 10 days after a missed menstrual period.

If concern, consider taking a blood/serum HCG test which is more reliable from your doctor's office/lab.
