hello i'm 26 i have had sensitive nipples with white spots all over them for about 4 days now, i'm currently 12 days past my missed period. i tested but it came out negative i was wondering if it's possible to still be pregnant and get a negative?

: Yes it’s possible to have false negative results for urine pregnancy tests.  Your pcp can order blood bhcg in office and this will be more sensitive.  The urine test most often is negative if test is done too early.

Usually: Late periods are almost always due to late ovulations or pregnancy. A home pregnancy test is a good start if you are sexually active.  This also happens due to persistent cysts.

Myths: Implantation bleeding is a myth that has no basis in the real world. The bleeding is something else.  Remember to have implantation there has to be a fetus.  Babies are conceived one to five days after a sexual encounter when the ovaries release an egg. It takes several days to transit through the fallopian tubes and into the uterus.  There is zero chance implantation happens 3 days after a period.

Yes: If you are having missed or irregular periods it is possible that you are not ovulating.  In that case, there might not be any predictability to when bleeding will occur.

Anovulatory bleeding: It likely represents anovulatory bleeding rather than she'd endometrium of a normal cycle.

Could be: If you are sexually active, you must consider pregnancy anytime you are late for a period.  It is common to have spotting in early pregnancy.  I would recommend that you do a home pregnancy test.  If it is negative, you may be late due to stress, change in physical activity levels, weight changes, or many other things.

Maybe: One can do a pregnancy test to find out. A urine pregnancy test done correctly gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a regular period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and therefore lead to a repeat test.

Maybe: If you have been on Depo-Provera for awhile or started it on the 2nd or 3rd day of your last period, pregnancy is unlikely. Depo does cause irregular bleeding and then the absence of periods and this is likely to be the cause of the late period. It does not help with prevention of STDs though and the cramping could be a symptom of one of those. You need to use condoms to help decrease that risk, Be safe

I have absolutely: No way to tell if you're pregnant. You, on the other hand, can find out by doing an hpt. By the way, your testosterone is mildly elevated and your tsh, while "normal" is not appropriate for age. See an endocrinologist about both. You're probably overweight and Insulin resistant, and may actually have some degree of pcos.

Take a test : Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.
