No: Yeast infections do not cause bumps. They usually are associated with discharge, itching and burning. Some women with prolonged vulvar yeast infections can develop chronic vulvitis with skin discoloration, and thickening. No discrete bumps are seen. Please see a doctor.

The : The best thing to do would be to see your healthcare provider and have an examination and cultures.  They might just be reactionary, but it is best to have cultures to be sure it isn't an infectious type of rash.  If you have pain, fever, or discharge then you must be seen immediately.

Unusual: It is unusual for yeast to do this. It usually causes thick white discharge and is very pruritic. Let your doctor see the rash and help out with the diagnosis. All the best.

Maybe: With herpes, you may initially see a crop of small individual bumps that look like they have fluid in them, but they quickly spread and coalesce (group together). They also would go from itchy and irritating to painful in sensation. If you have even a small suspicion of herpes, then run - don't walk - to your medical provider or STD clinic for urgent evaluation and treatment. Hope that helps!

: Vulvodynia may be possible, but generally is defined not by itching but by pain, often primarily during sex; and without visible inflammation (redness). A yeast infection may be more likely. Discuss with your doctor, or maybe try an over-the-counter vaginal yeast treatment. Good luck.

Needs testing: Lumps, bumps, blisters and other skin abnormalities on the genitals need to be evaluated. An examination will be needed to know the cause and treatment. Without seeing the red patch it is not possible to draw any conclusions

: Do you feel that the intercourse was too rough?  Is the swollen area reddened,tender, very itchy? Was a condom used that could have caused an allergic reaction?  I believe another examination by your gynecologist is needed. He/she should be able to sort out this issue&amp; advise you.

Yeast infection: Yeast infection normally would not cause bumps on the vagina. It can be disturbing in that it causes itchy discharge. If you do have fungal infection on the skin adjacent to the vagina, it can cause bumps, though. Without someone looking at you, it's really hard to tell what those are.
