Maybe: One can do a pregnancy test to find out. A urine pregnancy test done correctly gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a regular period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and therefore lead to a repeat test.

When was IUI: The pregnancy test should be done 2-3 weeks after your IUI or on the date your doctor instructed. If it has been 2-3 weeks since your IUI then the current test is likely reliable. Check with your fertility specialist to verify the date of your IUI and what day they wanted you to check   a test

Do you mean...: You had sex a couple months ago, she has since had 2 normal periods, and is now late for her 3rd?  If this is what you mean, and you have not had sex since then, she's not pregnant, or at least it's very unlikely.  Women miss periods all the time . There are many reasons for a missed period - stress, polycystic ovarian syndrome, malnutrition - are a few possibilities.

Not if negative : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception.   If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection.

Depends: The reason that your period is late and u r spotting now could be many things. If u r using hormonal contraception it could be a side-effect or the result of not using it exactly right. If u r having unprotected sex, start with a pregnancy test and, if it is negative, repeat it in 3-5 days. It could also be due to stress, diet, exercise, other medications or diseases.
