Complicated: If you are being treated appropriately it probably will not matter. Some women, with intercourse in some positions, have the penis create minor trauma to the urethra which is immediately above the vaginal barrel.  This creates a type of physiological obstruction to urine flow and may promote infection, but this is theoretical and may not apply to you. Probably not an issue. Enjoy.

Vaginal bacteria: Sex doesn't increase UTI risk in males, only in women. Bacteria that cause UTI often exist near the vaginal opening, and sex can "massage" bacteria into the urethra, resulting in UTI. It has nothing to do with new or long time partner (although sex often is more frequent or more vigorous in new relationships, which might increase UTI risk).

Yes, : Yes, it is very possible. The bacteria can be carried into the male or female's urethra and introduce it into the bladder.  Do not have unprotected sex if you or your partnet has a uti. It can also worsen the condition and cause severe discomfort.

Not UTI but STD: Utis are not transmitted during sex. Uti 's after sex are result of bacteria at your urinary meatus (opening) being milked up to the bladder during sex. Bacteria then multiply in the bladder causing a uti, hence advice to urinate after sex. Your partner, indulging with other women, is at risk for std and thus placing you at risk. Perhaps you should consider finding a new partner!

See below: It could mean a number of things.  First of all, was the second UTI cultured to see if it was drug resistant strain.  If you have sex, urinating afterwards help reduce the risk of a uti.  Being a diabetic with elevated blood sugars increases the incidence of utis.  You may also want to have a pelvic exam to rule out others processes.  Also when urinating, wipe front to back to prevent utis.
