Possibly : If the person who spit on your lips is sick with their first herpes infection or is someone who has had it a long time and is just about ready to have a breakout when the number of virus particles on their lips are at their highest.

Yes: Virus shed from the active lesions could be in the "spit".
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine,

Little or no risk: In theory this might happen, but the chance is extremely low. Almost all oral herpes in adults is acquired by kissing someone with active oral herpes. Don't worry about it.

Herpes: that would be an unlikely scenario. It generally requires a larger inoculative dose.  I suppose if the spit directly on your face and lip you could get it, but a small bit of spiral as one talks is unlikely.

Watch for symptoms!: Herpes simplex virus (HSV) is an extremely contagious infection that does not require sexual contact to be passed from one person to another. If you notice any symptoms of herpes including tingling and burning followed by development of vesicular then ulcerative lesion, please see a doctor!

Possible: Possible that could happen.Point this out to friend in nice way and practice basic hygiene and wash hands often.

: Although technically possible, it is very unlikely, since you don't even know whether the person was hsv positive to begin with. For your comfort, see a dermatologist for evaluation and appropriate testing for hsv.

Extremely unlikely: The chance of getting herpes from such an exposure is almost zero, even if your new friend has oral herpes. Don't worry about it.

No: HSV2- ( genital) herpes is only transmitted in sexual secretions or blood. HSV1  cold sire) can be spreading by sneezing or coughing.
