Yes but beware: Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid which is used to tone the skin by removing oils from the skin and is used for acne. It can also reduce inflammatory pigmentation as found in acne.  Other agents such as Kojic acid, hydroquinone, and other plant peroxides can also decrease pigmentation.  2% salicylic acid is over the counter and can dry out skin if overused, so consult with your doctor.

Yes: But mostly raised demarcated reddish lesions, usually sun sensitive. There are other types of rashes, some may scar. Vitiligo or loss of pigment may happen on its own due to antibodies to melanin.

Sunscreen: Sunscreens are still the best option. Try the higher spf numbers. If persisting or getting worse you should see a dermatologist. There are some conditions we can cause discoloration when exposed to sun like rosacea.

Many options: To get rid of hyperpigmentation, first wear a good sunblock every day.  Many creams can help.  Hydroquinones in prescription creams are usually the most effective, but can take time to work.  Elure is an otc cream that works differently.  And there are many herbal creams that help.  Your doctor can perform a laser treatment for faster results.

Sun screen: Any spf 25 or greater for the face would work. I recommend purpose lotion, which is a moisturizer/sunblock combination; it doesn't create oily skin or obstruct pores.

can i use acnicin gel ( that contains clindamycin and adapalene) and glyco 6 heard glyco will remove darkness(pigmentation) so i'm planning to use it? is it a good idea to use both?

: Start with the Acnicin gel first x2 wks to get your skin adjusted to the medication. Then, slowly introduce Glyco 6 every 2-3 days x2 wks then daily thereafter as tolerated.

my wife has a big swelling on a vane in her leg. it keeps on being very sore. she is pregnant and have been using thrombophob gel. not working? it looks like a dvp? what should we do?

Varicose veins: Varicose veins are common in pregnancy, and can cause pain as pregnancy advances. Severe pain which may be accompanied by increase discomfort with walking, should be seen by your OB provider to be certain it is not a "deep vein thrombus" (DVT). Treatment for such should be initiated immediately.

Appropriate Rx: This appears to be a conservative treatment course but the primary concern is why you developed the svt. Is it due to underlying dvt? Chronic venous insufficiency? Clotting disorder? Make sure that the cause has been evaluated to prevent future recurrences. In the meantime lower extremity compression stockings are likely your best long term preventative treatment. Surgery may be indicated after us.
