At this point there are no other forms of male contraception available- but there are active studies working to develop a pill for men.

The Implanon or iud are methods often desired by women who want longer acting birth control but not permanent- that you dont have to tae daily.  The shotfor women w difficult cycles- but ring and  patch are also common.

Don't have a clue: The "best" for anyone is whatever is determined after a good medical history, review of present health issues &amp; meds and an understanding of how/why it is being used. An IUD requires little daily thought but is pricy. There are dozens of "pill" choices that may or may not work well with a particular person. In short, you find this out by working with a health professional over several months.

Implanon/Nexplanon: At this point the Implanon (single capsule inserted under skin in arm) is considered most effective form of birth control.  It has shown slight more effectiveness than tubal ligation and vasectomy.  This is occasionally debated- but at the very least it is equivalent to these more permanent  methods.   Iud is also a very effective form of birth control.

None: There is no need for medication. Once you stop taking the pill it leaves the body on its own time. If you have implants or hormonal IUD's they must be removed. Otherwise your system returns to its baseline fertility (if you are) within weeks.
