Yes it can: And most babies have reflux, they outgrow it as get bigger, you had the answer in your question: burp your baby well after feeding, if wet burps are a problem, try reflux precautions: thickening feeds, feeding smaller amounts more frequently, raising the bed 30 degrees, feeding the baby at 45 degree angle, etc, enjoy your baby

Unlikely!: Nystagmus  is unlikely to be caused by  ranitidine. It could be congenital meaning present since birth or acquired later due to several causes. He needs to be seen by a pediatric optjomologist  and may be a pediatric neurologist also. You have to rule out vision problem and neurological problems.

Sinusitis: Ge reflux is certainly a common cause and oftern empirically treated for a patient with a chronic cough.  I find that chronic rhinitis or sinusitis is probably more common and often need to be treated as well.   Medications such as ace inhibitors for BP need to be stopped.  There is always the possibility of underlying ashtma as well.  Ohter primary lung problems are discovered with appropriate xr.

Gastritis: Nexium (esomeprazole) is quite effective treatment for gastritis and it generally causes healing after only a few weeks in most cases unless there is achlorhydria(lack of stomach acid) from the beginning. I'm not aware of nexium (esomeprazole) or ppi's causing cases of classic gastritis. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate you for diagnosis and treatment. A gastroscopy may be done if the diagnosis is in doubt
