will amoxcillin get rid of mucus in sinus cavities? on day 3 of med, still feeling dizzy and bouncy when i tilt head down.

Steroid inhaler: An antibiotic might be appropriate if one has a yellow or green nasal discharge, especially if associated with painful sinuses and/or fever.  If the discharge is clear, sinuses are pain-free, and there is no fever, a more appropriate medication might be an inhaled steroid such as Flonase (1-2 inhalations every 12 hours for7-10 days).  If symptoms persist, see your md or an ear, nose and throat doc.

Sinuses: All in the front, around your eyes, nose, above your teeth.  You have a communication back through the ears, to the bone behind the ear, the mastoid processes.  No sinuses from the respiratory tract in the back of your head.

4 days post septoplasty turbinate reduction scar tissue cut out of right sinus. balloons in sinus cavity. having headache from temporal to top of head?

Probaby: normal post-operative pain...suggest ICE and contact your treating ENT specialist for suggestions/I ASSUME you have a follow-up visit arranged...if pain INCREASING do not wait!!

i have pain when i touch the backside of my head, above the base of skull, but behind ear. sinus infection/cavities may exist. advice?

Not sinus: No sinuses in that area. Probably a cervical neuralgia or muscle pain from the spine. see a neurologist

18yr old male. congestion in the sinus cavities close to the cheekbones. pain on cheekbones.  nostrils are clear, but i feel blockage further back when i breathe. when i breathe, i feel a burning sensation in my head. smell likes mucous. dry throat?

Congestion:  Are these chronic or brand new symtpoms? If it just started consider use of decongestant. If chronic - recommend assessment.

Bothering you? Yes!: If your sinuses have any sort of growth or aren't clean and clear and the bother you constantly the go see an ENT and see if you need to have your sinuses cleaned out. It's not as bad as it sounds really.  Better than suffering.

why do i get a headache when i sweat alot? i easily sweat when i exert myself.  i almost allways get a painful headache in my sinus cavities.

See your Dentist : Sometimes it is because the teeth problem that caused sinus problem and headache. Consult your dentist see if it is the cause.

My brief review of: this question suggests that parasite infection of the sinuses remains rare, almost always in immunocompromised people such as those with HIV. It has been more recently appreciated that fungal infections of the sinuses are more common than previously thought. Diagnosis is made by obtaining some infected material and testing it. Treatment is challenging with "surgical" cleaning and antibiotics.

You probably: have chronic sinusitis.  See your doctor or ENT specialist for definitive diagnosis and proper treatment.
