Not too: unusual. You may need to take it with a meal in smaller amounts during the day rather than all at once.

Probiotics: are good bacteria but need to be introduced gradually into our system or we can have GI symptoms.  They may overstimulate ones immune system.  Please see doctor before starting probiotics.  Not everyone can tolerate them.  Here is a link for more info

Possible: It can happen.  The chance of nausea may be decreased by taking tablets with water or food.

:  The effectiveness of either do not depend on necessarily on timing.  I would usually take the probiotics as a daily ritual in the morning with any other supplements you use. I would give it some time to enter the stomach &amp; move on, a half hour or more the use the Reglan if needed at any other point in the day you feel it works best.

i deal with constant nausea and bloating pretty much everyday. is there anything i can do to stop that? maybe take a probiotic?

GI upset:  I am sure of the reason for your nausea and bloating. If the cause were determined, it might be able to be handled.  In the meantime, probiotics  may help (multi-strain, at least a million cultures and controlled release) or try nibbling on crystalized ginger.

Probably not: The central nervous system side effects of Prozac (fluoxetine) will probably not be aided by probiotics which mainly work on the gastrointestinal tract.

Yes: Otherwise they would have a warning label. It makes your stomach feel good. I do not see a problem and I have never read that there is a problem. Good luck and congratulations for your future child.

can probiotics (activia) cause nausea and cramps in the beginning of starting them? can you suddenly stop taking them to eliminate side effects? how long before side effects stop ?

: Yes. If you stop them and "side effects" go away then you Start again and they reappear then most likely related to Activia. If not convinced then repeat on/off till you are certain this is the cause. Google n of one trials for more details.

i finished 5 days of cipro 5 days ago. i just started getting nausea.  i've been on probiotics all along. what can i do for the nausea? it seems to get worse when i eat. i've been eating very lightly?

: Five days of taking Cipro and off this antibiotic for 5 days less likely is the cause of your nausea.
Why do you have to take probiotics? How long have you taken it? Could it be the cause of nausea?
Do you have any other chronic illness?

Find symptoms' cause: Nausea may be gi-related (food poisoning, peptic disease, gastroparesis, due to biliary &amp; pancreatic disease, gas/bloat syndrome, small bowel problems). Consider "central" causes: motion sickness, vertigo, migraine headache, brain problems (some very serious). Also, rule out infection (? Urinary tract), medication side effects, pregnancy, &amp;even reaction to stress. Find &amp; treat the cause.
