No, don't think so: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon.

In about a week: Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period.

What are your goals?: It sounds as though you were wanting to be pregnant. If so then there is no reason to be taking birth control. Missing pills makes pregnancy more likely than taking them correctly but still less likely than someone who is not on them at all. If you do not want to be pregnant consider changing birth control methods to something you do not have to do every day like an IUD

Not ovulating: It is not unusual for a woman to miss several periods after coming off the pill.  You could get pregnant however so I would use another means of contraception if you don't want to get pregnant
