Should not: If by common cold you refer to rhinovirus infection, primary signs and symptoms should not include those of a severe upper or lower respiratory infection, but can under some circumstances. This should be investigated with a chest x-ray and full examination if encountered clinically

Many reasons 4 tach: There are many reasons for tachycardia and you should be seen by a good electro physiologist and cardiologist to work it out. Different causes have different treatments. Cannot go into all of this in 400 spaces.

Dehydration: Hi. Usually that's due to some degree of dehydration. Do you have a fever? It could be bacterial and not viral, although viral is certainly more likely. If bacterial, you may need antibiotics. In any even, drink plenty of fluids. Good luck!

No wt loss w/B12: As a family physician, i can assure you that i don't give B12 injections to cause weight loss in humans as there is no such link between the two. In other words, taking B12 whether as a shot or pill will not lead to weight loss. If you're low in b12, you may need B12 pills or shots, but that won't cause weight loss, rapid heart rate or increase in appetite. Latter two are most likely coincidence.

Yes: Indigestion, or any cause of pain for that matter can cause an increased (rapid) heart rate. The mechanism for the rapid heart rate in indigestion relates to activation of the autonomic (sympathetic) nervous system. Common causes of indigestion that may increase the heart rate include peptic ulcer disease (with or without bleeding), gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux disease (gerd).

No.: Diabetics do not have any higher heart rate than any one else except under some very  advanced disease such as autonomic neuropathy or in some acute conditions such as dehydration.
