Have an exam: The pill would not cause a cyst or burst one, but your pain needs attention. While there, get good info on this entire issue. Don't use that pill as birth control. Ov. cysts should not: An ovarian cyst may cause pelvic or lower abdominal pains but not "vaginal cramps".  Most ovarian cysts are transient, functional and silent ... and resolve spontaneously. Pain may be caused by cyst enlargement, bleeding within the cyst , twisting... and other factors which depend on the size, type, nature ...of the cyst. Consult your gynecologist if you are concerned or your symptoms persist.

Not likely the cause: Typically ovarian cysts don't cause bleeding unnless they rupture or get twisted onto their own tubes etc...Light bleeding after sex is quite common for those having a male partner who is a bit on the long-side--repetitious trauma of the penis pushing/thrushing on the cervix which can bleed a bit. If u have some cervical polyps, fibroids, infections, cancer, bleeding is even more common. Good luck.

Yes: I would get seen.  It may be coming from inflammation of the cervix.

GYN: I suggest an immediate GYN exam, abstain sexually and even regulate cycles and pelvic pain with oral contraceptives. Call your GYN for an exam.

Maybe cervicitis?: Bleeding after sex is often due to cervicitis, i.e. inflammation of the cervix; penile contact can make fragile tissues bleed. Some cervicitis is due to chlamydia or gonorrhea, but many cases are not related to STDs. See your gynecologist; it should be pretty easy to find the cause. Good luck.
