Multiple: Frequently kids with constipation have diarrhea as loose stool works around the area of hard stool. However eosinophilia is connected with parasite infections which can also cause diarrhea.  Low iron levels could mean she is loosing blood in her stool a sign of inflammatory bowel disease.  It sounds like your provider is doing the work-up.  Be sure to continue to follow-up.

SLOWING DOWN BOWELS: Iron slows down digestive system.Slow release iron is  slowly absorbed and less constipating. Fast absorbing iron supplement causes more constipation but quickly absorbed.

Bowel corks: Yes. Watch multivitamins and make sure they are iron free, unless of course your child is being treated for iron deficiency. If all else fails, and depending on your child's age, you may want to discuss using small amounts of miralax, (polyethylene glycol) but do not stray on your own without discussing the pros and cons with your child's pediatrician please.

Not really: Pretty much all doses are going to cause some constipation but this symptom can be mitigated with plenty of hydration, high fiber diet, and colace, (docusate sodium) a stool softener.

Allergic  to  all p.: There is a difference between allergic  to a medicine and having side effect to it . All medication has side effect and usually  if we start low and go slaw eventually  we get used to it.

Not unusual.: It's not unusual to notice changes of the color or consistency of your stool after starting an iron supplement. There are multiple types of iron supplements, some of what you may tolerate better than others. If you would continue to have issues with this, contact the doctor that prescribed this for you and see if he/she would prefer to switch it to another formulation.

i am having black stool(not completely black but a little dark brown texture) fora month now(on most of the days) though i don't have any symptoms other that constipation sometimes.i do take keratonic(biotin and 10mg iron).is this a cause for concern?

: Oral iron is poorly absorbed and does cause stools to be black as can bismuth products or bleeding in the upper GI tract.  Your physician can perform a simple test on your stool in the office to determine whether there is any occult blood in your stool.

is ferrous sulfate 365mg the same as iron? can the ferrous sulfate or mirtazapine 7.5mg cause hard stools or constipation? mirtazapine 7.5mg was newly added but have been taking iron since beginning of the year. constipation is a typical issue?

: There is often constipation associated with taking iron and mirtazapine; however you could do things that could improve your bowel habit. You may have to check to makes sure that what you do does not prevent the adequate absorption of your medication by taking them hours apart. You could take food with fibers and unabsorbeable sugars as in vegetables, fruits or supplements with exercises and water

i've got very low iron levels and recently being treated for ulcers. i've been constipated for 2 mnths now. do u think its related to any of the two?

Constipation: Although iron deficiency does not cause constipation per se, iron supplements can cause constipation at times. If you are having this side effect, try increasing the fiber in your diet and maybe even taking a fiber supplement, such as Metamucil, with extra water. If this does not help, then switching to a different fiber supplement may be useful. Good luck.
