Itching: When the bilirubin level is high the bile salts in the blood stream can cause itching. Nausea may be related to the illness and underlying cause of your problem.

i am on imuran (azathioprine) and have developed itching all over (no rash). it has been about 6 months since my last liver enzyme testing. i have heard that itching can happen with liver issues. should i be worried?

Get checked: Doctor who is prescribing you Imuran (azathioprine) should check your blood periodically, Imuran (azathioprine) is a very effective medication but needs  close monitoring

can cholestasis of pregnancy cause long term inflammation to common bile duct?  can hormones affect liver enzymes and itching during period?

Possibly: the itching is from the cholestasis as it causes the bike to go up and this causes the itching. The inflammation can persist, but can also resolve. External hormone use has to be processed by liver first, so they can place "pressure" on the liver, as can Tylenol, (acetaminophen) and any other medications typically.

Hard to say if this i an emergency without more information, but just the fact that you have been in a week and lost weight speaks to the seriousness of your situation. Hang in there.

Itchy skin: Itchy skin is a perception, it is actually in the category of pain   It can come from skin problems transmitting sensation to the brain. It can result from the pain sensation from inflamed nerves. Here's more: liver problems, scabies, allergies, medications, and dry skin.
