That can happen: Wait. A positive pregnancy test can tell a woman that prior spotting was actually implantation spotting. Myths: Implantation bleeding is a myth that has no basis in the real world. The bleeding is something else.  Remember to have implantation there has to be a fetus.  Babies are conceived one to five days after a sexual encounter when the ovaries release an egg. It takes several days to transit through the fallopian tubes and into the uterus.  There is zero chance implantation happens 3 days after a period.

The only way to know if someone had implantation bleeding or just irregular menstrual bleeding is to wait and see if you are pregnant. If your test is positive then this was implantation bleeding. If it is negative then it is just irregular menstrual bleeding.

Implantation : Implantation bleeding occurs usually 7-10 days after conception. If your period was lighter and there is posibility of pregnancy you may want to get a pregnancy test done. If you are bleeding and are pregnant please see an ob/gyn physician.

If not pregnant you may monitor to see if irregular bleeding continues or not.
