Not likely: to interfere with the depo provera shot. What reason for the supplements? It sometimes takes up to a year for the depo to leave your system and allow ovulation to resume.

Probably: Fenugreek is not listed as one of the supplements that interferes with Depo-Provera. St John's Wort, Bloodroot and Yucca are listed. Herbal supplements do not have to be tested as rigorously as prescription drugs, so there may some risk that has not yet been studied.

Irregular bleeding : Irregular bleeding is common when starting DepoProvera. It usually but not always decreased over time and eventually periods cease. For some this never happens and others notice some spotting or bleeding when their next injection is about due. Estrogens are used in contraceptives for cycle control. Progestins like DepoProvera provide contraception but not necessarily cycle control. Hope this help.

Side effects: these are possible side effects of the Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) injection. The lactation is less common and you should get a GYN exam and a serum prolactin level. Most like all are related to the injection.

No problem!: A small amount of uterine/vaginal bleeding is entirely normal when on the Depo shot. The bleeding comes from superficial blood vessels in the cavity of the endometrium which will occasionally break and bleed a little before they repair. this is perfectly normal.
