Should not be a: problem. Just remember all contraceptives have a 1 or 2 % failure rate.

Discontinued: YAZ has been discontinued in many countries because its component drospirenone has been linked to much higher rates of blood clots leading to death or significant morbidity. Talk to your prescribing Dr about which other oral contraceptive is right for you. You will need a new prescription for whichever medication you decide to use.

WEIGHT LOSS: Oral contraceptive are virtually 100% effective, if taken properly.  Although the problem of obesity is largely cured by diet and increased exercise, Duromine can be taken while taking oral contraceptives, so long as the Duromine is prescribed by a doctor familiar with the product. Period delays: To delay the onset of a period while on low dose oral contraceptives, simply do not stop taking the active pills at the end of the 21 day active pills, and do not use the "placebos" until you are OK with having a menstrual withdrawal "period".  You do not have to take "primoluten".

Yes: This weight loss drug does not interact with birth control. It also does not work well to lead to weight loss and has lots of side effects.

Need to get Plan B: You need to purchase Plan B- You have a window of 72 hours since unprotected to take Plan B as an emergency contraceptive.

If you did NOT: miss any active pills, you should be reasonably well protected from pregnancy.  STI's are another matter, and you should  get tested if  concerned.

Antihistamines: They do not interact with oral contraceptives, you should be fine taking them together.

Health changes: Any changes to your routine or health may alter a menstrual cycle.  Sometimes stress or a new thyroid condition may change your bleeding pattern.  Introducing a new medication to your daily life such as Accutane may also cause these changes.  It would be best to be seen by your ob/gyn soon so discuss the managment of your changes in bleeding.

See below: While any medication that increases your metabolism would in theory lesson the effects of oral BCP there are no studies to back this up. As with most other drug interactions with OCPs it is unlikely that diet pills would decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills.
