Twice?: Plan B, Postinor 2, and other brands of emergency contraceptive pills can alter the menstrual cycle for the cycle in which Plan B or Postinor 2 was taken, and sometimes the next month's cycle too. One should be sure to check a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex, because emergency contraceptive pills work most of the time, but not all the time.

Postinor ?: Postinor is a progestin contraceptive, and should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex for best results.  If more than "72 hours" has elapsed, another dose will not be useful or necessary.

: Postinor 2, is emergency contraception you take within 72 hours after unprotected sex.  It contains a high level of hormones that interfere with the implantation of a fertilized embryo. It should not be used multiple times as the levonorgestrel can have side effects including nausea, fatigue, headache, irregular bleeding, breast pain. You should take a regular contraceptive daily.
