: Plan B will fail if you've already ovulated when you took it. Obesity &amp; A few certain meds may interfere with it's efficacy but I don't think the common cold will.

Shouldn't but ...: It is double strength BCPs. Any med can have weird interaction with another. There are plenty of good interaction checkers available on the Web and ask the pharmacist or your doc but in general, no.

Agree w Dr. Collins: No absolute contraindications. Plan B One-Step is up to 89 % effective when taken within 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex. It can reduce chance of pregnancy by up to 95% if used within 24 hours. It continues to reduce the risk of pregnancy up to 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex, but is less effective as time passes.

Yes: There are no known drug interactions between these two medications

Plan B: Plan B works through delaying or preventing ovulation, by interfering with fertilization.
The FDA package insert also states that Plan B may inhibit implementation by altering the lining of the uterus.
I do not know of any specific interactions which have been reported with concurrent antibiotic use.
