Shave: You can - just that the molluscum contagiosum makes it a little difficult - they are benign condition but will bleed if "shaved" off.

No---- none of these: See a dermatologist. You need 1 or more additional treatments. Don't worry. It is not serious. If you wait long enough ----- perhaps a few months---there will be spontaneous clearing.

No: Molluscum is on skin only. Once the lesions are removed it does not recur. All the lesions need to be removed either by liquid nitrogen, Aldara (imiquimod) or curetting off. If removed , it may require 2-3 sessions because there are small molluscum lesions that are not visible at first. They surface in 3-4 weeks. Molluscumrx is an herbal which can be used at home.

Molluscum contagiosu: The scab itself isn't important as a source of infection. However, you probably are still contagious for a few weeks after the last molluscum lesions are gone. If this is a genital area infection, new sex partners will be at risk for a while. However, if a regular partner has also had MC (and maybe the source of your infection), that person probably is immune and no precautions are necessary.

: By US CDC website: "treatment for molluscum is usually recommended if lesions are in the genital area (on or near the penis, vulva, vagina, or anus). If lesions are found in this area it is a good idea to visit your healthcare provider as there is a possibility that you may have another disease spread by sexual contact". You should see your doctor for a correct diagnosis and treatment.

Skin conditions: Might be the same and it might be a totally different skin condition. Do they look exactly similar? You might want to see the dermatologist for a firm diagnosis.
