Prob. not a worry: Most sharp pains in the chest, unless there has been trauma to the muscles or rib cage, ate due to stomach or upper intestinal gas pockets and are not serious. However, if this continues, please see your health advisor.

everytime i take losartan it seems its giving chest discomfort a lil cramp feeling on my left is this ok or just coinsidence? or something else?

May be related : Losartan can occasionally be associated with chest pain. Would consider switching to another med and see what happens.  Many other meds are available to treat hypertension and stopping it is easy to do to see if symptoms resolve.

i recently had my bp medicine increased losartan-hctz to 100-25 and started having chest pain stomach pain with minor pain in left side of chest. hosp?

See below: Though most chest pains are not related to the heart, it’s important to make sure and to rule out a heart attack (MI) or other significant pathology (e.g. dissecting aneurysm). Symptoms that one should take seriously and seek prompt medical evaluation or call 911 include: persistent, severe, or escalating pain, shortness of breath, sweating, nausea or vomiting, dizziness, fast or irregular pulse.

been hearing a lot about ashwaganda and how it relaxes you, helps sleep, lower bp and other health benefits. i would like to try. am taking losartan. any interaction? also does it affect thyroid? thx?

: Most of us are not expert in supplements. WebMD has enough info about this supplement so you can read for further info https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-953/ashwagandha, and the site does note that this supplement can affect thyroid function. I could not find any info about interaction between losartan and ashwagandha but BP should be monitored if you use them together.

full cardio and gi work up no issues except reflux. have had chest pain and reflux since changing to losartan from ccb and ace.  what r other options?

Worth  a trial: If your symptoms are strongly believed to be a side effect from Losartan it is probably worth a discontinuation trial. Would try a different ARB, same class, after few days with tight monitoring of  your blood pressure. Talk to your prescriber.

Lie down: Rest, lie down, elevate your legs, drink extra fluid. When you feel better, advise your prescriber that the dose may be a bit high for you.

i had an egd  no issues found but i still have chest pain and soreness also unable to get satisfying deep breath at times can this be effect of cozaar (losartan)?

Drug side effects: Cozaar (losartan) which is of a class of medications referred to as ARBS, are not as clearly identified with your side effects - although some can have a dry unable to clear cough. The close class of meds called Ace-inhibitors can be associated more with this side effect.  What you are describing could be associated with multiple causes including heart, lung  or a medication effect. Talk to your doc asap.

No: Usually no GERD and arm and chest tightness  with BP meds, especially with Losartan again

I would go to the ER: Chest pressure/pain can have serious consequences. I would call 911 or go tot he emergency room for proper assessment of this complaint. Good luck

Pains: Pain such as you describe can have many possible sources some just musculoskeletal and some far more serious. You should discuss your particular symptoms with your doctor and get clarification of what the Doc believes the source of your problem is.
