SSRI effect: All ssri can lower sex drive and cause delayed orgasm.  The reason is unknown, but i think it might have to do with causing general contentness and making people care less (good for overreacting, but not always good for motivation).  Increasing norepi can help counter act.  This can be done by adding wellbutrin or switching to a dual acting med like Cymbalta (duloxetine) or just lowering dose.

SSRI and sex drive: One of the well-known side effects of all ssri drugs, including citalopram (celexa) is decreasing libido, decreasing erectile function, and increasing the time before orgasm is achieved. 
These effects do not occur in all patients taking the drug, but they are common and well-known.
If this is a large concern, talk to your doctor about other antidepressant options and side-effect profiling.

Options: Could be one of three reasons 1. alcohol on board, 2. anxiety about performance,  3. the Celexa (citalopram). Try again after being off Celexa (citalopram). Do not stop Celexa (citalopram) "cold turkey". Taper it down like one every other day for two doses then one every 3rd day for 3 doses. If after that you have no problem with intercourse talk to your doctor about another medication but let the doc know what u r doing.first.

Not because of age: Sexual side effects are a well known issue with that family of medicines. You can talk to your doctor about an alternative. It can also be dose related and you might be able to cut down,however bipolar is very serious so talk to your doctor

A few weeks: I'm assuming that you stopped Celexa (citalopram) with your doctor's approval and that you're no longer depressed or anxious. Low libido can be part of depression. Otherwise it could take a few weeks before libido returns.

Can happen: Decreased libido is definitely on the list of things that can happen, but it's not permanent! Often the symptom decreases and resolves after taking the medication for a while.  Don't change the medicine dosing on your own; talk to your doctor about the symptom and possible solutions.
