Yes: Pain and discomfort related to gas and/or constipation can certainly cause lower abdominal pain and shooting-type pain.  Some women can also have these types of symptoms related to ovulation.  This is know as Mittelschmerz and is one-sided.

Hernia vs others.: In the RLQ of the abdomen/pelvic area; a person could develop a hernia, Appendecitis, Small bowel problems and problems with the ovaries and tubes etc.

They can: Cysts can cause different sorts of pain. They cause pain from their size, from twisting around or fro bursting open. They can cause nausea or GI symptoms as well. So if the pain persists, you should be evaluated for lots of sources

Go see ur Family Doc: You appear to have several more complicated issues than can be addressed in 400 characters. Chronic constipation is often aggravated by inadequate fiber, fluids &amp; exercise. It can also lead to gas &amp; bloating as well as abdominal pain. Dyspareunia or painful sex needs to be addressed by Family Doc or Gyn. Perhaps complication of surgery, sexually transmitted infection, endometriosis or adhesions.

sudden gas pains, very bad lower abdomen and pelvic pain, first poop was constipated like, then 2nd poop was extremely loose. all i ate today (in the last 4-5 hours) i had a sandwich. what could this be?

Cramps: It's too soon to tell whether you're developing a viral intestinal tract infection or reacting to something you ate hours earlier. Eat a soft, bland diet with no roughage. Food poisoning or intestinal viral infection symptoms will gradually improve on their own. You can take kaopectate or Imodium if loose movements become excessive. Avoid dehydration. See your MD as needed.
