Weight is a side: effect of PCOS, the cause.  PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), is likely caused by insulin resistance. This means even after weight loss the causation still is present, and may need medical treatment by your doctor.

Usually not: The usual types of ovarian cyst wouldn't usually cause weight loss unless the cyst is causing such pain that a woman can't eat. If you have an ovarian cyst and you are worried speak to your doctor.

: Assuming the "6.2 cm cyst" is ovarian in origin, most cysts which are "septated" are considered complex, and will be biopsied via laparoscopy. Ask for a second opinion guidance from another GYN physician.

Pain: Ovarian cysts cause lots of pain especially when they burst. They also can cause your periods to be irregular.  If you have PCOS or poly cystic ovaries you could have weight gain and increased risk of diabetes and infertility as well as excessive facial hair.

Hmm: Unless the cysts are in your intestine then it is unlikely related to loose stool. I would review these tests with your doctor and see the next plan of action

PCOS?: If you have proven pcos then metformin is used with other medications. If you have other type of cysts metformin is not indicated and you need to be treated differently. Not every cyst is related to your weigt gain. See your doctor.

i had a bartholin cyst two years ago and popped on its own causing a loose skin thats become edema after vulvar cyst surgery. please any advise. thank?

Nothing/: Is this a problem&gt; If so see your gynecologist as it may be possible to do some minor surgery to revise this. If not a problem would not do anything.

had a hysterectomy in 2009 loosing all but my right ovary. had a recent check up where now i have small cysts along with bowel gas . what is that?

Normal...: Its probably normal.  Ovaries almost always contain small functional cysts and that is normal.  Don't worry about the bowel gas.  The tech just saw that and commented on it but it doesn't mean anything bad.  Bowels have gas in them.    Best wishes...
