See a doctor: You have tonsillitis. From your description your swollen tonsils are intermittently blocking your Eustachian tube, giving you ear pain. Please see a your doctor for treatment.

was already taking cipro (ciprofloxacin) long term for pseudomonas. got sick (sore throat and ear infection). today pcp prescribed keflex. should be ok?

Should be fine: The symptom pattern you describe can be caused by viruses or bacteria.It emerged in spite of the Cipro, (ciprofloxacin) so we know if it is a bacteria it is resistant to that med. The Keflex is a good basic med and can work when taken concurrently. If you don't see improvement within 3 days contact your PCP.

Reflux?: You could be refluxing acid from your stomach. Your ear and throat share the same nerve supply and you can have referred ear pain from your throat if it is irritated from acid reflux.

Ear drops: If there is wax in the ear or other debris then the Ciprodex drops will not really be effective. You need to get your ear cleaned out by an ent.

Burning throat: What scope is normal, otoscope, laryngoscope, nasolaryngoscope? what do you mean there is no reflex in ear? no light reflex? do you have middle ear effusion? what did the ENT diagose you with? You have not told us anything about your medical or mental health history, duration of symptoms or accompanying symptoms? what do you mean by "flutter"? without sufficient info, can't provide good response.
