i have epilepsy, i would like to take maca, concerns? 12 years seizure free. i handle stimulants well like caffeine, guarana.

Depends: Maca is not a stimulant and there have not been any information about it lowering the seizure threshold. It has an affect on the hypothalamic system and hormonal balance (thus some use it for menopausal symptoms). If you have no endocrine problems (ex: low thyroid) it is probably safe for you and may even help with seizure control due to better sleep quality.

help ! my dr has had me on 6-8 fioricet (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) daily for 1year for daily migraines, but now his office won't ok refill & i'm out. i have clonazepam , will that prevent seizure?

Inefficient choice: .. but you need to ask your doctor exactly what he/she intends for you to do.  If you have pre-existing risks of seizure, then you should have been on seizure preventing medications, of which clonazepam is not one.  I would advice against taking clonazepam for the pure reason of preventing seizures.

Not really: Unless you have significant and dangerous caffeine excess. If you are allergic to chocolate it could cause problems. Otherwise, it sounds like the opening line to a bad joke. Check w/your doctor, he may have a great sense of humor.

Hmmm...: What do you mean by anxiety?  In my way of thinking, caffeine (espcially in normal amounts) as a drug does not have the pharmacological property of causing ANXIETY.  However, EXCESS caffeine usage in an individual can, by a different number of ways (i.e. too much as in Energy drinks, withdrawal as in cutting back or sudden cold turkey) cause jitteriness, nervoussness, shakiness, etc.

All stimulants: work like adrenaline, and increase the body's metabolic rate, so we burn more fuel to ensure that we can meet the "fight or flight" response.  So we burn sugar more rapidly, and the low blood sugar actually further increases adrenaline and related chemicals (like dopamine) leading to a vicious cycle.
