: They don't directly.  I suppose if a person is dilutional enough to think by avoiding sugar (with such sweeteners) they may feel they can eat all they want. They then get overweight &amp; adult onset diabetes is a potential outcome.

None: If you have had gestational Diabetes in he past most artificial sweeteners that contain aspartane will do you no favors in this pregnancy. Consider modifying that amount of sugar in your diet and possibly substitute honey which is a simple more digestible sugar. Talk to you OB MD about this issue when you make an appointment and congratulations on thinking ahead droning this pregnancy.

Your preference: They're all about the same.  Depends upon your preference as to taste.  Some cannot be used in baking. There have been no deaths or even hints of deaths due to artificial sweeteners. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet. You didn't actually believe people had died from artificial sweeteners did you?
