B12 def: If despite taking oral b12. Your counts are low that means there is problem in absorption of B12 vitamin and therefore you should take the intramuscular shot of B12 1 mg once a month. B12 def can lead to leukopenia. Keep taking vit c.

It isnt going to: have much of an effect. MPH is pretty well absorbed. But then, so is vitamin C. If concerned 2 hrs between the two should be plenty.

No effect: Vitamin C is mostly excreted thru the kidneys, no effect on the liver, where hormones are metabolized.

Take diff. multi. &amp;: No adult males should take iron supplements unless proven deficient. Iron is a pro-oxidant that increases risk of disease and most men get plenty from their diet. Change to a multivitamin without iron.
Consider donating blood- periodically donating blood may reduce risk of acute heart attack up to 88%!

Vitamins: Vitamins act as catalysts, bridging one physiologic states. They enhance your bodies normal functions. If you have a well balanced diet you don't need to take extra. Small amounts of extra, like a daily vitamin tab, may be helpful if your diet is insufficient, but will do no harm. Overdosing with anything can create imbalance. You're better off eating a well balanced diet than taking pills.

i did a simple serum iron test for my son of 12, his result was 10.6 he has been on iron meds chelifer 15 mg for about a year... what are the next steps for good absorption other than taking iron tabs with vitamin c ?

Diet: Diet with foods with Iron is a great way to absorb Iron.  Good sources of Iron include shellfish, spinach, legumes, red meat, pumpkin seeds, quinoa, turkey, broccoli, Tofu, dark chocolate, fish. Eat up and stay strong.

Controversial!: I believe 300mg per day is enough.  Some physicians believe that 1000mg/day is ok. I disagree!
