Yes: Thrush (candidiasis) can cause burning on urination in men by causing urethritis(inflammation or infection of the urethra). Thrush can also cause cystitis, but this mainly occurs in seriously ill patients who are immunocompramised. You need an evaluation to determine if your symptoms are to urethritis from thrush or from more likely non gonococcal urithritis or GC(both are STD's). *see comments

See below: I'm not sure what "off doc" means, but i'm guessing you mean non-prescription.  In that event, it sounds like it may be time to go to the doctor to see if you have a UTI or some other problem.

Not certain: Options – use washcloth soaked in cold water or even ice water as a compress x 15 minutes.  No not apply ice directly to skin. Petroleum based lubricants/ jellies/ lotions  (aquaphor ointment, vaseline)   or aloe can help to maintain moisture.  Hydrocortisone cream  1 % can be applied for significant inflammation. For blistering – consult with your doctor.

Abdominal pain: Some younger men have a tight opening of the bladder (called the bladder neck) which causes difficulty or pain while passing urine. Other possibilities here could include a kidney stone or kidney infection. I would recommend that you see a urologist for a thorough evaluation.

More likely: a yeast infection, an antifungal vaginal creme could be helpful.  Discuss with your doctor to be sure or if not better.
