Voice rest: And salt water gargles and rest.If this is not a result of cheering for your team then it may be the start of a viral sore throat.Back to answer # 1:voice rest, warm saline gargles and personal rest.I'd also advise chicken noodle soup as well.If mom can prepare it you'll recover faster.

Remedy: Gargle with aloe vera juice twice a day.  Add honey & a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea. 
Pour boiling water over thinly sliced ginger. Steep 5 min. In a covered pot. Add 2 to 3 tbs honey & sip. Try thyme tea.
 Consider making tea with 2 tsp of marshmallow root bark per 1cup of hot water (steep in a covered pot for at least 5 min).  Drink several times a day or as needed to relieve sxs.

May need an exam: Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor (call first) if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly. COVID-19 infections tend to have cough, whereas strep usually lacks cough but has more throat pain.

LPR: Laryngopharyngeal reflux is the most likely cause for these symptoms. If acids escape the esophagus and reach the sensitive tissues near the opening ot the trachea, swelling can result. Cough, hoarseness, shortness of breath (often misdiagnosed as asthma) can occur. Many times reflux is not noted (no heartburn)  often referred to as "silent reflux".   Lpr can also trigger true asthma.

The same doctor can usually discuss the pee issue and test the urine.

Rarely: Very rarely (.1-1% of cases in pre-marketing studies) people may develop dysphagia or esophagitis.  More commonly, dry mouth may be a side effect.  Please tell your doctor about any problems you're experiencing with your medication.
