How long?: If you have not had any trauma to your head leading to the bump and the bump has been present for more than a couple of weeks, you should consult your doctor to make sure that it is nothing serious.

May need antibiotics: Rashes are difficult to describe in words. If a person has recurrent pimples on places where regular acne doesn't occur, he likely has infection in skin glands and/or hair follicles. A primary care doctor or a dermatologist can look at the skin and make a diagnosis. The doctors can prescribe oral antibiotics or creams/ointments as needed. Sometimes the bacteria are resistant to antibiotics.

my son has a bump on his nose. its been there for over a month. its color is red and skin tone. he has popped it like 5 times cause it had a head on it. his dr put him on doxycycline and he washes w proactive everyday. it just wont go away?

Other causes include an allergic reaction. Please a cool compress (ask your PCP) on the area, while waiting to be evaluated by your pediatrician.

There are at least 4 kinds of normal bumps (not needing any treatment) in newborns, and lots of other kinds - this sounds like a good question for your baby's doctor, next time you see the doctor for a routine visit.

Concussion : Probably a mild concussion. Symptoms should resolve and disappear.

It should: Mant times afternoon trauma there is some blood that needs to be resorted and tissue damage that will eventually remodel.
