See your orthopedic specialist.: If you have good circulation, you can probably elevated above your heart for 24 hours. However if the fingers turning blue and you're getting numbness and tingling i would recommend going to a local emergency room.

Finger swollen: Time to go to er, if that is where you get medical treatment.  You have an infection in the finger and you need treatment.

Several possibility: You may have been bitten by something other than a mosquito, may have had an unusually severe reaction to the bite, or may have developed a secondary infection due to breaking the skin while scratching.  If the finger is red, warm , painful or gets worse would see a hand surgeon asap.  Infections in fingers can extend upwards very quickly.

Swelling: If it is both your hands I would consider some type of systemic proccess. Inflammatory, swelling secondary to renal problem, possible thyroid problem, medication reaction.

Get seen...: You need to be evaluated to check for a possible infection after a possible insect bite. Redness and pain is an indicator of infection and/or inflammation. However, this might require antibiotic treatment in order to get better. IF able please try to see a physician as soon as possible.

Swollen finger: This can't be diagnosed with the information that is available. A history, physical examination &amp; other studies may be needed to determine cause/causes. 
Once accurately assessed a treatment plan can be developed.
