Posterior location..: 26 y/o says I had pain behind my knee yesterday. After standing for a long time. Today there is a large bruise. A cause for concern?  Due to the posterior location of the bruise it should be examined by a PCP. It is most likely benign but; trauma, insect bite, phlebitis and other conditions that could happen in that location should be evaluated and managed appropriately.

: You seem to have a hematoma and it would be prudent to see a doctor to ascertain the cause of abnormal bleeding. Are you taking any blood thinners, including aspirin? If you are taking aspirin, please avoid that.

i have a bruise on my inner thigh abt six inches above the knee. it started small but is grwing w/sevrl bruises. it itches & idk how i got it. worry?

Not sure but the: only way to find out is monitor it to make sure it doesn't evolve normally and go away.  Bruises tend to enlarge briefly for 1-2 days, then change color from red/black to green/yellow, then start to fade. Pain in knee/calf: Did you have an injury? Could be from brusie, sprain if exercising  or bakers cyst but would follow up today with doctor/urgent care make sure you do not have a clot in your calf ( especially if you smoke or are on BCP) as that is serious . Check d-dimer  or get a sonongram.
