May be normal: Losing a few strands of hair during brushing and shower is normal . However if you are losing a lot of hair or bared you may need evaluation to rule medical illness .If no illness or skin condition. Rogaine (minoxidil) for women may help reduce further hair loss.

No: Relax. Comb or brush hair over thin areas. Hair will grow at 1cm a month. There is nothing you can do to speed it up. Minoxidil topical may stimulate thicker hair. Oral finasteride [dutasteride is stronger] is even better.
