i have a pink-brownish patch on my scalp that used to sting a bit yesterday and now turned brown.i think it was bleeding but i dont understand what caused it to bleed because i didnt feel it.was can be the cause and how can i get rid of it??

my 4 year old has a bald path on her scalp that is light brown patch towards the outer end . there is some hair loss and what feels like broken hair. i have commenced covarex junior bd week now . is this sufficient treatment or is oral needed?

Needs an evaluation: If the kid does have a scalp fungus which is not clear from the description,external creams/ointments are unlikely to cure it. When present, the fungus gets into the hair root, deep enough into the skin that external creams will never reach it. It may transiently imptove the outer appearance.

Patch : Scaly patches on the skin could be many different entities but on the scalp likely seborrhea or psoriasis or possibly fungal skin infection. I would see your doctor to fully evaluate.

Red Patch: What you describe may be a simple fungal infection of the skin, but it also could be more serious, such as a basal cell cancer.  Your age and sun exposure are important information to help your physician treat the area, or biopsy the area to get an accurate diagnosis, to help plan with treatment.
