YES: The brownish discharge is actually old menstrual blood mixed with vaginal and cervical secretions. Unless you are having severe menstrual bleeding, this is considered normal, but bothersome. A warm water or bicarbonate douch will help.

This is common: Brown discharge at the end of a period is simply blood that has taken somewhat of a long time to exit your body. Red period blood turns a brownish color when it's been out of the bloodstream for a while.
