Sinus: When having sinus troubles, wether a cold or allergies or sinusitis, it is normal to have secretions come out of your nose.  These can be clear or colored fluid and can have solid particles too.  You have to look at other issues to determine if need to see a doctor such as fever, blood, pain, shortness of breath, ...Etc.

May be a virus - but: For significantly sore throat w/ swollen tonsils/lymph nodes – see physician &amp; get a strep throat test &amp; culture. Antibiotics are imperative for strep throat.  Try saltwater gargles. Mix tsp of salt in 8 oz of warm water – gargle w/ this several times/day. You can gargle w/ Aloe Vera juice a couple of times per day. A mix of chamomile tea w/ honey &amp; a small amt of lemon juice helps.

Lung infection: I assume you don't always cough up hard brown chunks of phlegm, just on occasion when you're feeling ill. That nasty looking phlegm represents your lungs reaction to infection, commonly viral, bacterial or fungal. Your family doc can help you decide if any (antibiotic) treatment is warranted. Average duration of cough illness is 18 days. If you're short of breath or feeling worse, go see your doc.

Productive cough: Hello, your cough could be related to asthma or a number of other causes. Otc medication like Robitussin (guaifenesin) contains a mucolytic that may help. I would recommend seeing a pulmonologist for a more thorough examination.

See your doctor: These symptoms mean you need to see your doctor.  I don't know if the blood came from lungs or stomach -- either is not good.  Also you need help for your alcohol abuse.  Please see your doctor.
