Did u bang your : Whole foot? Are you walking differently due to the toe fracture that could of caused shoe rubbing or something of the sort? How was the fifth toe treated? Was the toe wrapped? Or the forefoot?

Depends: Big toe fractures generally require more restrictions  whereas simple fractures of the lesser toes can be treated with simple buddy taping to the adjacent toe. Some fractures of the big and lesser toes may require setting, surgery and/or prolonged immobilization based on the complexity of the fracture. Xray will define the fracture pattern and dictate the treatment. Get xrays and see your doc.

Clean and immobilize: Depending on which toe, the biggest worry is open fracture, so the nail needs to be removed and the area under the nail needs to be inspected to ascertain if there are any lacerations down to bone. If so, the area needs to be cleaned and stitched w/ oral antibiotics prescribed. If no laceration then the toe needs to be immobilized via buddy splinting to the adjacent toe vs. Post -op shoe.
