Breast Exam needed: since you had a partial hysterectomy you can be confident you are not having breastpain from pregnancy.  Any new pain in the breast should be evaluated for a palpable lump or with a mammogram. If you had trauma to the area you would probably know. If you did some new exercise and your pectoral muscle is sore, that might present as breast pain.

Cancer : Cancer very rarely presents with breast pain.  Please see your doctor or gynecologist and have a complete evaluation.  Yes, if you have had a breast infection you can get another one.  Please be seen and have a complete evaluation which may include a mammogram or an ultrasound.  If you have worse pain, fever, or redness, then you will have to go to the er if your doctor can't see you immediately.

Common problem: Fibrocystic disease/changes is very common in women.  This is most often seen during the menstrual cycle.  Breast feel lumpy and painful which is caused by cyst formation (fluid filled areas) due to hormonal changes.  Some women may have these changes without being on their menstrual cycle.  Caffeine may cuase the cysts to be overactive resulting in pain. This is not related to cancer.

Look at hrt: If ovaries are gone and on hormone replacement you may need to lower the estrogen dose; if there is an abrupt cessation of estrogen it can lead to many other sx's but genrally not breast pain; consider perhaps a lower dose of Estradiol if on that.

Fibrocystic change: You may have a cyst in that breast or the beginning of one.  Better get it checked.

Breast pain : Since you still have your ovaries , you are still going to go thru your normal cycle , you just don't know when . You will still have your PMS . What you are experiencing is the different phases of your cycle . To ease the breast pain use some ice packs , Inuprophen . It will resolve , unfortunately it will come back .

Still have hormones: Hysterectomy just takes the uterus out - not the ovaries which produce the hormones. Usually breast tenderness is caused by hormonal changes which occur around the time of ovulation and just before the period comes.

Breast pain: You appear to have a difficult problem with your breast pain.  Severe mastitis can cause your symptoms, and the hormonal issues may be causative post Hysterectomy. See the Dr. and get evaluated for hormonal imbalances and some medications that can certainly help with the pain. Best wishes to you.
