BRAT: While pregnant or breast feeding certain medications may not be safe.  Here are some non-pharmacutical things you can try at home that are safe during breast feeding.  Be a brat.  Try bananas, rice, apple sauce, and toast.  These foods help 'bulk up' the stool and may help you with your diarrhea.

If a bf kid has an additional issue like a stomach virus or were fed a food to which they intolerant, they can develop true watery diarrhea.Breast milk travels through the digestive system a bit faster than formulas that require more digestive work.Infants have a fast metabolism and triple their weight in the first year.

Don't take any Immodium, you want whatever is in you out of you, and not trap the organism in you.  Bigger question is this a stomach bug or actual food poisoning, which if latter then what kind of food poisoning bc that will dictate if you need treatment or not.

Sounds improving: These are often simple gut viruses that can be managed at home. Breast milk is often the best therapy. The minimal temp can be ignored. I expect about 3 of these a year until they reach 5. Their primary risk is dehydration, which usually only appears if they cannot feed well enough to keep up. If peeing every 6-8 hrs the kid is doing fine.

NORMAL POOP!: That is wonderful, perfectly functioning newborn baby poop. Don't change a thing and don't worry about a thing. He does not have diarrhea - that is what infant poop is at its best!. Color can be yellows, greens, browns, oranges -these are all ok colors. And yes, it is very runny and explosive - stand clear of butt when changing diaper. Congratulations!

Not exactly: A woman can use a tanning bed before or after breast feeding, if she accepts the risks of the uv radiation hitting her skin. During breast feeding, her baby would be right there, so she must stay away from the tanning bed or have the machine turned off. The tanning bed won't damage her breast milk.
