Agree: Machine only doing what it was programmed to do.

A good 20% of people have borderline or abnormal ekg.  Many related to variation in lead placement and may have no physiologic correlate.

Ekg could and probably  should say:  no significant dysrhythmia, ectopy or morphologic change suggestive of underlying heart disease or ongoing ischemia. Please corellate clinically and review with prior ekg.

If none are available the findings may not necessarily be due to any cardiac pathology and may even be a normal variant in a young woman. A cardiologist is best qualified to evaluate and examine you and recommend further testing like an echocardiogram if deemed advisable.

: Possible left atrial enlargement is a nonspecific finding which is commonly seen in 12 lead EKG. But this change is not associated or caused by anxiety. Normal stress test and holter monitor do not rule out true left atrial enlargement. Echocardiogram can be done to rule out structural heart abnormality if indicated. However, you should not worry about that reading by my opinion.

Cardiac follow up : Pain associated with palpitations and a "borderline abnormal" EKG would sure need fu to ensure you do not have a cardiac abnormality.  There are certainly tests more send active than an EKG such as a stress test or a holter moniter.  Please make sure you get follow up.
