Unrelated: Bone spurs in the spine are quite common. I don't feel there is a connection to lupus. They are generally a chronic wear and tear phenomenon.

Bone spurs : Build up of bone around joints from trauma or abnormal wear and tear. Spurs around the heel are cause from ligaments and tendons pulling on the bone. Spurs are generally not treated unless they are causing pain. The only way to get rid of a spur is to physically remove it(surgery). Nsaid's and steroids may be helpful for general joint pain.

Coccydynia: Tail bone pain (coccydynia) can be quite painful and definitely interrupt your life. Sitting, having a bowel movement, sex for women may all be effected. 
There is not much treatment for this condition. It usually resolves on its own but may take months. 
Sitting on a pillow or cushion, avoiding constipation can mitigate symptoms. 
There is a surgery ( removal of coccyx) but almost never  needed.
