i had three episodes of boils in last 1 year.  each time i was treated with a course if antibiotics.  in the latest episode,  i was prescribed augumentine. but,  every few months it is reoccurring. i am suffering from something serious?

Recurrent boils: Was a culture done? ? What organism? Discuss w/ your  doctor basic  testing for immuno-competency, as CBC  immunoglobulin levels. Immuno competent individuals can get colonized with pathologic bacteria . What type of work do you do?  Showering with chlorhexidine may help( not in hair , eyes, anus  or genitals).  If MRSA several weeks of Bactrim may help. Also check pets as they can be carrier

Not really: Best to discuss with your family doctor or pediatrician.  Occasional boils are common, rarely indicating a serious disease, and usually only requiring preventive treatment.

Is it an infection? : Clear jelly like 'pus' is not typical of bacterial infection. Is it something else? Perhaps a ruptured ganglion. I would suggest seeing a podiatrist if possible or any doctor if not.

See a dermatologist: Cantheradin is an old treatment for condyloma, not for molluscum. It causes blisters. If you really have molluscum, and if they persist, best to consult a better qualified DR. You can be helped.

Depends : Why do you have recurrent boils ?.You may need an incision and drainage. Usually penicillins, 1st generation cepalosporins and tetracyclins are adequate for uncomplicated boils.

I take it the boil: Is outside your anus which is most likey either an abscess or a thrombosed hemorrhoid. You dont really need any meds but an exam where some of them can be drained or removed in case of thromb hemorr. I recommend soaking your bottom in warm water for relief till you see your doc.

Consider diabetes: Recurrent infections are often a clue to blood sugar problems.I'd also consider a "pilonidal cyst" .This requires a visit to a dr.
