what is the definition or description of: blue gray sclera?

Blue grey sclera: The sclera is the white of the eye that you see when you look at your eyes. If it thins then you can see the underlying pigment which gives it a blue grey appearance.  This can happen as we age; but if it get too thin it can cause it to perforate. You need to have it checked by your ophthalmologist.

my 2 year old has 2-3 small grey/blue spots on his sclera in both eyes since born, will he grow out of it? was told common and ok, but i worry

Normal: Just like our skin the sclera can have pigment changes as well.  These changes may or may not change over the course of your child's life.  It does not affect the vision.

i have brown eyes and i have gray blue green rings outside out the eye  twice change pure hazel and once blue then i notice golden dark brown greenish?

Sounds quite: lovely. Pigmentation changes. It isn't usually a sign of disease BUT if it were it would be a mineral pigment disease such as 
WILSON's DISEASE (copper, ring is copper colored)
or hemosiderosis (iron, ring is iron colored. but skin is steel colored... grey, more noticeable than eye).

whites of eyes have developed gray/blue tint, more noticeable in right eye but present in both. recent eye exam, no issues found. is this a concern?

Thin sclerae: You may have thin sclera in both eyes. the color of the deeper layers is dark and when the outer white part is thin the darker layers show through and look bluish.

why do i have hazel eyes (green with an admixture of amber) if all my relatives have either blue or gray eyes. they also all inherited eye color from their parents, but i didn't. why?

Chromosome 15: Eye color is determined by the amount of melanin in the iris... the more melanin, the darker the color. Multiple genes are involved. While a child’s eye color can often be predicted by the eye colors of his or her parents and other relatives, variations sometimes produce unexpected results.

my babys eyes look like there is pink on the sclera is this normal he is 4mths with gray eyes and it looks like its going arond the outside of iris?

Pink on the eye: May be conjunctivits. Most is viral some is bacteria ( usually have a discharge if bacteria, may also be allergic, Sometimes if the nose is congested  there is back up for fluid to the eye and that can cause eye swelling  and other issues  .  F/u and call pediatrician this AM

Dermoid: This could be a congenital piece of tissue in the wrong place. You should see an ophthalmologist for proper evaluation.

Eye variant: Most eyes have the same approximate coloration but occasionaly there  are those with some variant such as you have.  As long as the vision is fine in each eye and the color difference is life long, then this is nothing to worry about.

Arcus senilis: Arcus senilis is a blue gray ; white arc or ring that forms around the cornea of the eye. It is very common in older adults. It can be associated with a higher than normal blood cholesterol level (so check that out) but can be a genetic variation also; it does not cause problems with vision and does not need treatment.

No: common enough and  is called scleral melanocytosis
the melanocytes are the skin cells that add color to the skin and this can happen in the eyes also
see an opthalmologist if you are concerned, but is not a problem
