bursted vein in arm, is it okay?

It is ok.: Trauma to an area will many times cause a vein to be injured and burst resulting in bleedind from the vein into the surrounding tissues resulting in a black and blue mark.  This is called ecchymosis.  Over a week or so this will slowly resolve.  This  is a normal occurrence .  If, however, you have recurrent spontaneous bleeding without trauma then you should see a hematologist.

Multiple reasons: Veins return blood back to the heart and  can carry a large volume of blood.  Depending on many factors including levels of hydration,  genetics, outside temperature and even physical activity, the size of the veins will vary.  Another important function of the veins is to help control body temperature and this too will affect vein size.  Also with aging, veins enlarge as tissue volume decreases.

Need info: Do you mean take something out of an arm vein? Or do you mean take out one of your arm veins?  We usually just take blood out of a vein or put medicine in a vein or sometimes remove unhealthy veins. Please explain.

Likely nothing: Veins can appear blue or even green depending on skin color and depth of the veins and subcutaneous fat.  I wouldn't worry about this at all.

Vein/needle did move: Most likely you felt movement induced by both a combination of the needle & your response. Larger veins are below skin, not fixed to skin and can move; allows our skin/body to move with differential stretching/compression. The vein can easily slide sideways in response to the needle tip, esp if not very sharp, or esp if aimed a little off center; more common. Good phlebotomists work to compensate.

Do you want more?: If you want to see more veins, people with low body  fat who lift weights seem to dilate their blood vessels more over time so you can see them, as well as long distance runners  where gravity plays a role. If you want to hide or slow down the progression of noticeable veins- some people use compression sleeves while running or lifting weights to control the dilatation.

As you use: the muscles in your forearm/hand blood circulation increases! This blood resturn to your heart using the VEINS! That is most probably the reason they seem more prominent!

Phlebitis: Right arm pain can be from a lot of different things. Since you say vein that recalls phlebitis but not as usual in the upper arms.

Is it the vein?: It could be the vein, or it could be the structures surrounding the vein, like tendon or muscle.  Is the skin over the vein red, warm, painful?  If so, we think of superficial thrombophlebitis or just phlebitis.  It can happen with trauma like needle sticks or after putting in an iv.

every time someone tries to give me an iv on my left arm they blow the vein. why does this happen.

Vein: Your veins may not be readily visible and if they are thin and rolling, they may be poked a few times until gotten into and that puts extra stress on the thin wall that makes it break.
