Ask: You are entitled to copies of all of your medical records.  Just ask the hospital in writing.  They may charge you for the cost of copying.  Only rarely will information be withheld, most in mental health cases.

More tests: No test may be needed for clinically classic stroke. There is no lab test specific for stroke. Imaging studies are usually used to support the clinical diagnosis

Many places: Thyroid blood tests can be performed anywhere where phlebotomy (professional blood drawing) is performed.  This would include labs, hospitals, emergency rooms, instant care facilities, doctor's offices, clinics, etc.  Thyroid labs can also be tested on blood spots (see zrt labs).

i have type a scrocis of the liver the hospital keeps saying that blood tests show that i am still drinking. this untrue, how can i convince them?

Check blood level: If your blood alcohol level is high, you have been drinking. If it is normal, you haven't.

Accepted Answer

No: You would have to have a specific test ordered to determine if you might be pregnant, but if you ask the doctor it could probably be done if the specimen is still available.

i have bad health anxiety but had to have a testical torsion surgery if i had an illness would the hospital know about it from my blood tests for op?

I'm betting so: You already showed courage in writing healthtap, and i hope the torsion surgery was a success. If your ordinary physical and routine labs were okay, i'd urge you stop worrying -- but i also know how some people worry about being sick even without there being any basis. You have insight which is great. A course of cognitive-behavior therapy, rather than my reassurance, would be a great idea now.

Possible Diabetes: A blood glucose level of 196 mean you most likely have diabetes.  This could be the cause of you fainting and trembling all over.  It is important that you identify and treat high blood sugar to prevent further health problems.  See a doctor for a proper evaluation.

Depends: The test itself takes less than an hour. The lab may not run the test every day. So it depends on what other tests were ordered and how often does the lab run those tests.

Cardiac follow up : Pain associated with palpitations and a "borderline abnormal" EKG would sure need fu to ensure you do not have a cardiac abnormality.  There are certainly tests more send active than an EKG such as a stress test or a holter moniter.  Please make sure you get follow up.
